At SLTC you just don't attend training, we immerse our students in a training style unique to all other programs in the country. I’m on Georgia task force 6 heavy rescue for the state . I like seeing the lineman come in for disasters . They come to work and are a huge help to us . Y’all are public servants also. So thank you . This might be my retirement gig next !

Does this course get you a cdl and how likely are you getting a job upon graduation
Your about guaranteed to be able to be a union guy with ibew as an apprentice and don’t hold me to it but I believe cdl is not covered
Union requires a CDL so you cannot be guaranteed
Hey there! CDL is included in our program. Though we can't guarantee a job, we do offer placement assistance and have recruiters visiting to talk to students throughout the program. Many of our graduates have multiple job offers upon completion of the program, but placement depends largely on a person’s willingness to travel or relocate.

I work on 1000ft plus broadcast towers went to trade school for it but im thinking about attending this school just to learn more skills.
I've been working on broadcast towers for 3 years now and I'm considering using my G.I.Bill again for another trade school. I love learning new skills.

This is a fantastic series, so glad to see these.
I went through pole climbing training 1998. Free climbing. No buck strap. You strap in when you get to you work height. The reverse process climbing down. Also when most cut outs happened. DON'T hug the pole!! Good luck knuckleheads. One of the best careers out there.

Brodie was my grunt for his first job out of school. We had him climbing an H frame transmission pole with bird wire his first day.
Love the series. Makes me love what i do even more an makes me want to pursue outside telecom. Ill make it over to power soon

Is 25 with children and a wife to late and to much to think about the program? I have a good job, but am looking for more out of life and I do have three children. So i want to give them the best life I can. Is it possible. Thanks so much
